FAQs

What IS Peer Recovery Coaching?

In simple terms…life coaching for those in recovery. Whether you are just out of treatment, or looking to reinvigorate your commitment to sobriety, Peer Recovery Coaching can assist by helping you keep your sobriety a priority, even in the midst of other life decisions that may arise.

Will you accept someone who isn't sober yet?

My role is not to get someone sober. I will not play a role in the goal of getting to treatment, or convincing someone it is time for them to get help. However, if you are looking for a Life Coach and have a problem, I will not hesitate to let you know that help or recovery might be in your best interest. Just know that Peer Recovery Coaching is best suited to those already firmly in their sobriety, but looking to develop their ability to incorporate that into their every day lives.

What does a Life Coach even do?

What doesn’t a Life Coach do? Just kidding. Life Coaches can be a variety of things. They can be sounding boards, confidence builders, people to vent to, or even counselors…depending on the person. I, personally, have a lot of experience in one-on-one settings, and focus primarily on goal setting skills, leadership development, and accountability.

The most important thing to keep in mind, though, is that a Life Coach is there to improve and help you develop your life skills. Whether they relate to your relationship, your career, or even your coping mechanisms, it is important that you remain as involved and committed to the process as I do. It takes two to tango, right?

How often should we meet?

Great question! Every person is different, and I will always honor you and your experiences. Having said that, feel free to email me with a short description of what is going on, or why you feel compelled to sign up, and we can figure it out together!
